In this introductory workshop, we'll cover fundamentals for keeping the body resilient during cold and flu season and how to quickly get well once illness takes hold. This workshop will discuss the immune and lymphatic systems and how to influence their healthy functioning through herbal support (with focus on easy-to-find medicinal foods, herbs and spices), lifestyle changes, useful supplements, and the differences between herbal immune stimulants, immune tonics, antivirals and symptom-based management. We'll finish up by making our own staple cold and flu remedy to take home; the storied Fire Cider. Bring a clean pint jar (about a 16oz jar - like a salsa jar) if you can. In order to estimate supplies... Registration is required :) https://bit.ly/37YS9uJ Tuesday, December 17 6:30-9 @ The Wooden Shoe Suggested Donation: $10-$30 (collected at the workshop) includes Fire Cider supplies. Y’all have you eaten the #kousadogwoodfruit ? Me and @shamzillaz were running in #woodlandscemetery and found these to snack on! Custardy-sweet inside the martian outerspace skin. Currently trying to eat the fermented ones on the ground and they’re even better! #phillyplants #wildfood
